Terminal Information
Tokyo Narita Airport has three terminal buildings: Terminal 1 (Star Alliance and SkyTeam — JAL international, Air France, Lufthansa etc.), Terminal 2 (oneworld — BA, Cathay, Qantas) and Terminal 3 (budget LCCs — Jetstar, Vanilla Air, Spring Airlines). T1 and T2 are connected by free shuttle bus (15 min). T3 is a 15-min walk from T2.

T1 North and South wings (separate buildings connected landside). T2: single pier building. T3: a converted cargo shed — basic but functional.

Narita Express (N'EX) trains from T1 and T2 to Shinjuku/Shibuya (80 min) and Tokyo Station (55 min) — ¥3,070 one-way (¥4,070 to Shibuya). Limousine Bus to major hotels ~¥3,200. Taxis prohibitively expensive (~¥25,000 to central Tokyo). Excellent duty-free shopping.
Insider Tips
Narita is 60 km from central Tokyo — factor travel time carefully. The N'EX IC-card discount is available at machines. Haneda (HND) is much closer to Tokyo and increasingly handles international flights. Cash is widely used at Narita — ATMs available in the arrival halls.
